To Get to Gibsons From Downtown Vancouver:

Take the 257 Express Bus. It departs from Hamilton and Dunsmuir in front of VCC College (an 8 minute walk from OHC) and only stops about twice en route to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry. It's about a 45 minute trip from downtown Vancouver to the ferry terminal in Horseshoe Bay, North Vancouver.

When you get to the ferry terminal, be sure to ask for a ticket to Langdale at the ticket booth (it costs about $15.65 return).  There are several waiting rooms, make sure you are in the correct waiting room to board the ferry to Langdale. (Ask anyone!) You board the large ferry from the waiting room. It is a 40 minute scenic trip with a restaurant, viewing gallery outside, and gift shop inside.

Go down to the lowest car deck to get off the ferry. Many people will be waiting there and you walk off before the cars. I will meet you as you walk off. My cell phone number is  604 989 8640.

We will then get into my car and begin our adventure. If we have more people attending we will have extra transportation.

Please reserve ahead, email me at

aspects of nature and mild exercise.

4) Silk Painting Workshop at Evi's Round Table

This workshop will teach the students how to paint on silk either freestyle, or using a gutta resist to create outlines. I will provide all the materials, and teach various techniques during a day long workshop. The student will create a round painting stretched on a hoop. The result will be a finished small wall hanging to take back as a gift or wall art for your own room. (if the weather is nice painting a silk scarf in the outdoor studio might be possible) Silk painting is magical, and as a fiber artist I will be able to teach several techniques. This is a great way to learn English comprehension, interact using English and do something creative with others!  All the materials will be provided.
Fee $85.00  (includes transport, tutorial, materials, and refreshments, and English practice)

This workshop is indoors, so can take place in any kind of weather. It's messy so best to wear clothing that doesn't matter or bring a big shirt to protect good clothing. (more details to come)
