I’m offering one (or two) day activities on the beautiful Sunshine Coast where I live starting on the weekend of Aug 27/16. It is approximately 1.5 hours from Vancouver, and includes a lovely scenic ride aboard the Horseshoe Bay Ferry to Langdale. I will pick students up at the Langdale Ferry Terminal where our adventure begins. Below is a list of activity choices. During our relaxed wanders in the Rainforest, exploring the harbor, sightseeing, or doing art work at the round table, English will be spoken. It’s an excellent situation to practice English while participating in enjoyable activities in a gorgeous rural setting.

2) Cliff Gilker Park

This is a short easy hike that takes approximately 1- 2 hours walking slowly, including a lunch break (bring a picnic lunch), photo stops, and time to explore the the creeks, rainforest, and admire the flora and fauna. (birds and animals) The driving time to the trail start is 45 minutes from the ferry terminal. Transport will be provided from the ferry to the trail start, if there is time we will do some sightseeing in the seaside town of Gibsons where there are quaint shops and cafes. We may also visit some of the beautiful quiet beaches nearby followed by refreshments at the round table at Evi’s before returning to the 5:30 ferry from Langdale back to Horseshoe Bay.
Bring a bathing suit and water shoes if would would enjoy a swim in the Pacific Ocean.

Fee per person is $38.00 not including return ferry ($15.65 per person return). You only pay the fee on one side but it is for the return trip.

3) Hike to Smuggler’s Cove

This is a gorgeous 1.5 hour hike with terrific views of the ocean, and includes a great lunch spot on a large mossy rock jutting out into a green bay. (bring a picnic lunch) The drive from the ferry terminal to the trail start is approximately 55 minutes. If we get an early start there might be time for other activities such as a visit to the Totem Poles, sightseeing in the town of Gibsons, beachcombing on one of the lovely quiet beaches along Marine Drive and refreshments at the round table at Evi’s. This is an ideal relaxing situation for English conversation and enjoying nature on the Sunshine Coast. We will return to catch the 5:30 ferry from Langdale back to Horseshoe Bay. The cost of this adventure is $38.00 (not including the ferry which costs $15.65 return)
